Country residence – project by Vera Gerasimova

A country house immersed in a warm, cozy atmosphere. Minimalist solutions incorporating bold technological elements have given way to modern interpretations of style.
The architect played with motifs typical of Swiss cottage interior design by decorating the sloping ceilings with oak beams and trusses, while replacing the natural color of the wood typical of this style with various shades of grey, creating a more elegant and understated look.

The richness of the greys, from graphite to the natural color of bleached wood, emphasizes the pure lines and shapes, creating a feeling of transparency. The color accents in the background draw the viewer’s eye.
The standout feature of the room is the Natural briar Sidney table with its large grain and subtle decapé finish. The irregularity of the wooden top is further emphasized by the modern geometrical design of the legs, a fusion of materials that further characterizes this design with timeless charm.
